Here's a sampling of projects I've worked on as an independent writer-editor and in previous roles as a technical writer and reference librarian:

  • Providing developmental input and copyediting for a book on webinars

  • Copyediting trade-journal articles for a small-business owner

  • Writing and editing web content for a government website offering career-related advice for the general public

  • Writing and editing web content and other materials for a career counselor and consultant

  • Leading a project to convert classroom-based library instruction materials into self-help options, including a library handbook, reference guides, and instructions for searching the online catalog

  • Helping HR training staff at Fortune 500 company convert classroom-based training into self-learning guides

  • Writing or editing training materials for enterprise software systems, including SAP, Oracle, and Lawson (multiple projects as staff technical writer and later as contract editor)

  • Editing an ebook on library research for students

  • Writing and editing interim and final reports for a Minnesota government commission on poverty

  • Proofreading a magazine for a health and wellness membership club
